Moulay Hafid Sdikiene
Moulay Hafid Sdikiene is a French Moroccan designer based in Paris and the founder of Aulyom Studio. For nearly ten years he worked within the studio of Éric Schmitt, where he refined his eye and his sensitivity to form and material.
With Aulyom Studio, he asserts a personal language through furniture, lighting and objects. His work rests on one conviction: the strength of a piece owes as much to its form as to the way it is built. Design and making are inseparable in his practice, with particular attention paid to assemblies and to the treatment of surfaces.
In 2025 he was among the finalists of the Institut du Monde Arabe design prize, in the Grand Prix category. Represented by the Boketto gallery, he showed his work at PAD Paris and PAD Saint-Tropez in 2026.
Halocline
Moulay Hafid Sdikiene conceives objects whose construction is part of their expression. Assemblies remain legible and materials keep their character. His practice combines the precision of drawing and digital tools with the direct intervention of the hand, in a search for tension, balance and presence.
The Halocline collection draws on waters of different salinities that sit side by side without ever fully mixing. Metal and stone are brought together while keeping their identity: recycled cast aluminium is sand cast, the stone machined, then sculpted and textured. The treatment of surfaces lets the gestures of making show through and gives the light reliefs to travel across. Between archaic power and contemporary construction, the pieces find their strength in the tension between their elements.
Tor
Tor has been selected for THE EXHIBITION #4 at The Gallery, in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, presented in collaboration with the Boketto gallery.
