Clémence Mars

Clémence Mars is an artist and scenographer whose sculpture-design work is rooted in imaginary spaces from which organic objects emerge, born out of surreal landscapes. She envisions strange, lunar salons or desert settings — sketches of domestic life drawn from unexplored territories.

Initially trained as a designer at the École Duperré in Paris, she then graduated from the École des Arts Décoratifs de Paris in scenography in 2018, spending two years during her studies at the School of Visual Theater in Jerusalem, where she created performances blending dance and performance art.

Back in France, she performed at the Théâtre de la Ville, selected through the Danse Elargie 2018 competition. In 2019, she entered a residency at the Ateliers Médicis for Création en cours. In 2021, she exhibited at La Grande Halle de la Villette, then joined Poush Manifesto as a resident artist, where she began creating contemporary furniture. She launched the Space Furniture line, including a series of mirrors featured in Vogue that same year. In March 2023, she exhibited in Paris at the Charraudeau and Placement Produit galleries.

In May 2023, she created a collection of lighting fixtures, followed by the White Noise collection in collaboration with artist Thomas Lelouch — a series of unique plaster-sculpted pieces featured in the Maison & Objet In The City circuit in January 2025.

In 2024, she partnered with the brand Carel, designing the interior of their rue Tronchet boutique as well as custom mirrors for their Spring-Summer 2024 “space age” inspired collection.

Represented by Galerie Scène Ouverte since 2024, she now works with glass, which she melts and shapes by hand into luminous sculptures.
